You can delete your account and all of its data at any time, either inside the app or by email, without reinstalling the app.
From inside the app (recommended)
- Open Word Notebook and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab in the bottom menu.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm it is you: enter your password, or, if you signed in with Google or Apple, tap Verify with Google and delete / Verify with Apple and delete.
Deletion starts immediately and you are signed out.
If you can’t access the app
Email destek@dildefteri.com from the address registered to your account with the subject “Account deletion request”. You don’t need the app for this. We may reply to verify your identity and will delete the account and its data within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account data (name, email, sign-in credentials)
- All your notebooks, words, meanings and example sentences
- Your practice history, statistics and course progress
- Your preferences (native language, app language, etc.)
What may be kept
- Backups: database backups are kept for at most 14 days; your deleted data drops out of them after that.
- Purchase records: transaction records of a Pro purchase are kept by Google Play, the App Store and RevenueCat for as long as tax and other laws require.
- Anonymous statistics: aggregated usage statistics that do not identify you.
If you bought Pro: the purchase is tied to your store account (Google Play / Apple ID). Pro is a one-time purchase; deleting your account does not trigger a refund (refunds follow each store’s own rules). If you create a new account, you can use Pro again via “Restore purchases”.
